Summary on Grant Application Form
Mixed ligand M-S-N and M-Se-N complexes will be electrocrystallised to give salts such as Kx[Pt(Se2N2)(CN)2] (x = non integral). New stacking compounds based on [S3N3]-, [S4N3]+ and will be prepared and characterised. New Se-S-N polymers will be prepared. The electrical properties of the compounds will be studied by DC four probe measurements down to 12K; magnetic measurements and band theory calculations will be performed in collaboration with Coronado (Valencia) and Canadell (Orsay). Reflectance measurements and single crystal EPR studies will be performed in collaboration with the IRC for semiconductor materials at IC.
