Summary on Grant Application Form
To synthesise and characterise titanium-containing microporous materials containing homochiral modifier compounds and to evaluate their performance as catalysts for the enantioselective synthesis of (R)- and (S)-glycidols by oxidation of allyl alcohol with hydrogen peroxide. To evaluate these catalysts for the enantioselective epoxidation of alkenes having a range of substituent groups.Evaluation of the catalysts for other enantioselective oxidations using hydrogen peroxide.
