Summary on Grant Application Form
To elucidate the mechanism by which biased microwave plasma enhanced chemical vapour deposition (MWPECVD) leads to improved epitaxial diamond nucleation on Si surfaces; to identify alternative, spatially controllable means of achieving such nucleation for the selective growth of high quality CVD diamond features.
