Summary on Grant Application Form
It is proposed to develop an electron-polyatomic molecule scattering code by modifying two existing programs. Low energy electron scattering cross sections will be calculated for a variety of molecules. The R-matrix method is well suited to the study of ionic targets. Special priority will then be given to the generation of data required for industrial applications, such as plasma etching, and atmospheric studies, such as electron-ozone scattering.
