Summary on Grant Application Form
1 Provide a new and general method for azetidine, pyrrolidine and piperidine synthesis by intramolecular carbon-carbon bond formation using and anionic cyclization.2 Examine the scope and stereoselectivity of the ring formation and prepare a range of bicyclic amines by this methodology.3 Apply this cyclization to the stereocontrolled synthesis of biologically-active, important compounds such as kainic acid.
