1) Confirm that simulation and RSM can be used to predict manufacturing variations.2) To research, develop strategies and metrics for multiparameter optimisation.3) To develop, adapt and compare RSM, Taguchi, composite responses, desirability and costing functions that are appropriate to RSM.4) To develop prototype software that encapsulates the above results and demonstrates its application to a manufacturing environment.
