Summary on Grant Application Form
To prepare selective hydrogen permeation membranes consisting of a thin film of palladium/silver alloy on a porous ceramic support and to use these membranes in a reactor packed with conventional catalyst pellets to remove hydrogen selectivity from an equilibrium limited reaction. Dehydrogenation reactions will be investigated and the permeated hydrogen used for a coupling reaction on the permeat side of the membrane.
