1) To explore, create and evaluate a range of devices to enable haptic/tactile feedback in Virtual Environments. the work will concentrate on simulating the illusion of shape and reactive forces.2) To examine the feasibility of further R&D for the application of such a system as a design tool to ease product assembly, disassembly and maintenance.
