To develop 3-D percolation models capable of generating fine scale fractal information of the permeability distribution in heterogeneous reservoir media; to conduct a series of 3-D in situ combustion (ISC) experiments to provide comprehensive sets of response information, reflecting a range of heterogeneity and scale effects; to simulate the ISC experiments utilising conditional sets of fractal generated reservoir matrix heterogeneity.
