1) The main objective of this research is to establish a better understanding of the effects of applied loads on biomaterial-mineralised tissue interfaces. 2) This information will be used to improve the accuracy of finite element analysis of such interfaces, so improving its predictive value in the development of these and other biomaterials interfaces.
