Summary on Grant Application Form
The main objective of the research is to identify whether high silica zeolites are effective as adsorbents for volatile organic chemicals in vapour phase resource recovery and environmental control applications. The zeolites are to be utilised in a low pressure drop monolith configuration which is novel and timely for adsorption processes, the performance of which is to be compared with that of a traditional packed bed. The experimental studies are to be complemented by mathematical simulations.
