This application is not to support an individual research project. Rather it is to support travel and subsistence to allow research workers form six UK Universities to regularly meet, effectively discuss and collectively further their individual research programmes concerning the synthesis, characterisation and evaluation of various carbon and diamond-like films for tribiological and optoelectronic applications. Thus it is to provide synergistic enhancement of existing research projects.
