Summary on Grant Application Form
To investigate in-line rheometry techniques for accurate in-process rheological characterisation of polymer melts to: 1) compare results with standard capillary rheometry; 2) explore the behaviour of polymers not readily measurable by off-line rheometry and 3) determine the influence of specifically tailored molecular features upon macroscopic rheological behaviour. It is also aimed to study the correlation of variation in injection moulding machine and process variables with variation in product parameters.
