Summary on Grant Application Form
Novel chiral metal catalysts will be developed for asymmetric 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reactions involving imine and oximes based on our development of the first such catalysts. Factors controlling endo-exo selectivity will be probed to solve this major outstanding problem in dipolar cycloaddition chemistry. Supercritical carbon dioxide will be evaluated as a reaction medium for dipole cycloaddition reactions.
