Summary on Grant Application Form
A course or research utilising the unique properties of a new electron energy analyser, the Hyperbolic Field Analyser, is proposed. This instrument, developed and constructed at the University of York, can measure a large energy spectrum in parallel, and in a short time. It is therefore particularly suited to fast electron spectroscopy. A variety of materials and processes are included for investigation. These reflect current interest in areas of technological and fundamental scientific significance.
