Summary on Grant Application Form
The network will promote interdisciplinary collaboration in the general area of quantum devices. Researchers from various departments in seventeen UK Universities and two industries are involved. During the three years of the programme there will be nine one-day meetings (three per year); each time in a different institution. The aim will be to promote interaction between Physicists, Computer Scientists, Mathematicians, Material Scientists and Engineers who work in this fast developing interdisciplinary area. A three-day summer school will present the latest developments in the field to young researchers. Support for collaborative visits will also be provided to young researchers. In addition, a dedicated network web site will be constructed.
