|
The proposed project deals with a study of random walks and of mathematical models of various communication and processing networks. It is planned to develop new techniques for assessing the stability of the dynamics of such systems and for analysing their detailed behaviour both under stable and unstable conditions.It is also proposed to develop the analysis of rare events in such systems in the important case where an extreme of perfomance may occur as the result of a single extreme input event.The investigator plans to visit France, Greece, USA, and Russia, and to work there with his collaborators on a number of research topics.
