Summary on Grant Application Form |
To investigate the manufacture of components from intermetallic compounds by using a combination of CGDM and post deposition annealing. To extend the capability of the existing CGDM system to co-spray two powders at controlled feed rates to allow specific compositions to be produced. To investigate the process route to convert the deposited precursors to intermetallic compounds without shrinkage or shape change, thus avoiding significant post-anneal machining.
