Summary on Grant Application Form |
A unique International Conference, Workshops and Masterclasses that will advance the application of predictive modelling to solving problems in the design and uses of strategic engineering composite materials and composite material structures in emerging technologies. This Meeting, by invitation only, brings together world-leading scientists and engineers and end users primarily from the UK and USA who are interested in the development of modelling methods applied to predicting the design, the response and the sustainable (meaning safe) high performance of composite materials under stress and hostile environment. It focuses on the structural and functional properties of engineering composites and structures. The Meeting will be integrated into multidisciplinary activities thereby providing cross-fertilisation of ideas and collaboration in future research between individuals and organizations internationally. The range of applications will be broad as will the composite material systems discussed, from aerospace exploration to bio-medical implantation, from the nano to the microscopic levels of structure to the large scale engineering construction.
