|
Following the first round of call-for-proposals under the EU framework-6 programme, the four permanent academic members of staff in the Digital Imaging Research Group, University of Bradford, have actively participated in several FP-6 bid preparations, ranging from networks-of-excellence and integrated projects to STREPS. Professor J. Jiang, the head of the research group, is also invited by the Commission to evaluate the FP6 proposals in the week from 12/05/03 to 16/05/03 inclusive (invitation attached to the case-for-support), which would be a valuable opportunity to gain experiences and skills in knowing the decision-making process within the EU funding system. To make the momentum and the success sustainable , we wish to request funding support for EU travelling and enable all academic members of the group to: (a) get fully engaged with EU activities and co-write proposals with EU research groups to generate funds from EU framework-6 programme; (b) visit EU partners and coordinate research proposals in the coming rounds of call-for-proposals.
