Summary on Grant Application Form |
The aim of this network is to stimulate and initiate a number of activities that will help to address the design gap. That is, the difference between the capability of IC manufacturing (in terms of transistors, for example) and the productivity of designers. The network will be formed around a consortium and board of initial members (active in the field) drawn from industry, academia, and government. The board will define and deliver a business plan based on unifying the electronic design community around a single focus aiming to attract significant funding downstream (i.e. 10M /'r). The plan will cover: technology strategy ; a schedule of research and development milestones; products/IP for commercialisation; expected new processes and services; marketing and communication strategy; definition and evaluation of rewards for potential investment.
