|
The proposed research will involve the design and implementation of an ontology for numeric and symbolic mathematical problems. The ontology be extended based on work undertaken in the European MONET project into mathematical Web services. The ontology will then be used to supp service specification and registration of services using specialised brokers and matchmaking engines. The research focus of the project will be th exploration of criteria to support the matchmaking process, and in particular, how a variety of different criteria may be utilised in different contexts on either user preferences, or service requirements identified through constraints.
