Summary on Grant Application Form |
Existing work, in the context of this theory, concentrates on variational problems which allows slip (and elastic deformation) from states with zero dislocation density. We propose to examine the case where the dislocation density is non zero, when the material symmetry is well motivated, in the variational case, and in the case where there is dissipation of energy in the slip process.
