Summary on Grant Application Form |
The Water Cycle Management for New Developments (WaND) Consortium proposal is concerned with the planning and design of the complete water cycle, focussing on new housing developments of various types. The core Consortium members are 5 universities (Imperial, Leeds, Bradford, Sheffield, Aberystwyth), two research institutions (Centre for Ecology and Hydrology and HRWallingford) and several industrial/public body partners (Environment Agency, WRc, UKWIR, MWH, Golder Associates, Yorkshire Water, Thames Water, Newcastle City Council). The plus projects are still being developed, but will include contributions from another 2 universities (Exeter, Cranfield) As a result of EPSRC's decision to invite submission of proposals by 31st July, there is significant on-going activity amongst all the partners in multi- and bilateral meetings and with on-going discussions with collaborators. There is also activity concerned with establishing links with other consortia and development of 'plus' proposals
