Summary on Grant Application Form
This programme aims to bring together mathematicians from different disciplines of noncommutattve algebra in order to apply diverse techniques to solve existing problems and to explore and develop new methods of research. Applications to other areas of mathematics, in particular to geometry will be sought. The different ways in which U(g), the universal enveloping algebra of the Lie algebra g is examined are indicative of the strategy to be followed. This multidisciplinary approach is expected to be particularly beneficial to the training of young UK mathematicians whose participation will be encouraged. Our progress will be disseminated widely within th
