Summary on Grant Application Form |
We propose to carry out an investigation of spin polarised electron transport in self organised ferromagnetic cluster structures. We will focus on the spin dependent transport behaviour of structures fabricated fromMBE-grown self organised nanostructures supported by oriented GaAs substrates. In particular we aim to clarify the mechanism of spin dependent transport. By varying the GaAs substrate doping and the cluster structure we seek to demonstrate unambiguously that spin tunneling occurs and that the magnetocurrent can be optimised..
