For the 2nd International Workshop on Narrative in Interactive Learning Environments to be held in Edinburgh from 6th to 9th August 2002, we request funds to cover the expenses of 3 invited speakers & 5 studentships to cover registration & accommodation. The workshop's themes are:How are narrative aspects of the learning environment incorporated into the learning experience?How are the narrative aspects of the learning environment adapted to the learner?How do we take the affective aspects of narrative into account?How do we ensure that the experience supports social learning?How do we analyse the effectiveness of both the designed-in and emergent narrative aspects of an interaction for the learner?
