Summary on Grant Application Form |
This feasibility study proposal aims to demonstrate a critical enabling step in the widespread exploitation of the multi-dimensional process sensing offered by process tomography. This technology has been developed to an advanced state and now offers a unique insight, but current applications are practically all laboratory or pilot-plant based. This project will explore generic systems integration tools that promise to deliver the large benefits expected to arise from large-scale exploitation of multi-dimensional sensing. The worl plan will develop from a taxonomy of process topologies to a two-fold set of models, targeted respectively at design verification and control, with final simulation trials.
