Summary on Grant Application Form |
We will begin by updating an exisiting configurable model suitable for simulating quasi-continuous manufacturing plant. We will then develop parallel simulators on the Lancaster high performance computing cluster using conservative and optimistic synchronisation protocols. These simulators will be evaluated by contacting users of such plant, selecting candidate plants, simulating them and comparing these simulations with the sequential simulator developed earlier.
