SummaryDescribe the proposed research in about 200 words.Pure-injective modules play a central role in the model theory of modules and, increasingly, in the representation theory of algebras and other parts of module theory. Prufer-type modules arise in a variety of contexts and typically are or give rise to pure-injective modules. The aim of the project is to obtain explicit descriptions of these modules, to construct such modules in new contexts and to apply this to obtain points of the Ziegler spectrum of tame canonical algebras beyond those which are already known.
