|
The Visiting Fellowship will enable Dr Kilkenny to collaborate with research groups at RAL, UCL, ICSTM and St Andrews and with UK industry in two important fields, viz. high-intensity laser-plasma physics and technology and the development of applications for high-speed optical detectors. The aim will be to develop vigorous and sustainable collaborative programmes between UK and US research organisations which will enhance the existing UK research activities in such diverse fields as petawatt laser-plasma interaction physics and fluorescence lifetime imaging techniques for biological, chemical and medical applications.
