Summary on Grant Application Form |
To develop novel, high-efficiency, environmentally benign processes for the chemical bath deposition (CBD) of a range of cadmium-free semiconductor materials, especially alternatives to cadmium sulfide (CdS), such as indium trisulphide (In2S3) or indium hydroxy sulphide (In (OH) xSy), and collector materials, such as: copper indium diselenide (CuInSe2), copper indium gallium diselenide (Culn1-xGaxSe2) and copper indium disulphide (CuInS2). Subsequently to evaluate the properties of such materials, as buffer and absorber components within polycrystalline solar cells.
