Summary on Grant Application Form |
This project will provide an effective way of managing the process of design and manufacturing in the electronics industry, using widely accepted electronics and web standards for delivery. The goal of the project is to enhance the fundamental business process of the electronics design and manufacturing industry by addressing the management of its core activities. The proposed system will allow a company to monitor and manage the progress of the activities that make up the design and manufacturing process for a given product or customer portfolio. It will be possible to customize the process for individual customers or products, audit a given process, evaluate how different variants of the process relate and the effects of process changes, and track progress based on individual management responsibilities.A simple web-based user interface will provide the management 'control desk' for the overall system. Modelling technology is used to create much of the software and underpin the system integrity.
