Summary on Grant Application Form |
The Workshop concerns the mathematics, both intuitive and rigorous. of the exponentially small. In the last 20 years concepts such as resurgence analyzable function (and associated resummation techniques) have brought order and rigor, as well as new applications, to a venerable but fragmer subject. Contributions have come from unexpected directions, such as model theory, real analytic geometry and theoretical computer science .The themes of the Workshop will include:Advances in the general theory of analyzable functions, formal representations and generalized Borel Summability.* Applications to ordinary and partial differential equations, difference equations, dynamical systems, logic and surreal numbers.Understanding the deeper connections between transseries, LE series and surreal analysis, and the connection between these concepts, exponer asymptotics and hyperasymptotics.Algorithmic aspects
