Currently various connections are emerging between representation theory of groups of Lie type, complex reflection groups, their Hecke algebras, quantum groups and Lie algebras in characteristics zero. The research aims of deepening and broadening these connections, concentrating on cyclotomic Hecke and Schur algebras.
