Summary on Grant Application Form
The visitor has already published a relevant analysis, in which the Stroh's formalism is applied for the wave propagation study in anisotropic planar media. Moreover, he is also familiar with the successive approximation method (SAM) proposed and used by the applicant (EPSRC project GR/H/42680) for the static and dynamic analysis of anisotropic laminated tubes. Based on these preliminary successful steps, the VF is expected to merge these two methods of analysis and extend their applicability in an appropriate manner that will meet the objectives set above.
