This project will identify the various cross cutting concerns in evolution frameworks for object oriented databases. An extensible and customisable evolution framework with low maintenance overhead will be developed by separating these concerns using aspects. The work will build upon our existing work on implicit separation of interconnection code form meta objects through dynamic relationships and explicit separation of instance adaptation code using aspects.The proposed research will address the lack of customisability and extensibility in evolution frameworks for object oriented databases.
