Summary on Grant Application Form |
The third strand to the research will be to look at the many common elements between modelling general point processes in space and spatial epidemics. In particular, what ideas are transferable between epidemics and the points process-bases spatio-temporal techniques being used at UCL to model rainfall and other environmental phenomena. How can ideas from this work be adapted to epidemics, and conversely? What can be done, (a) algebraically, and (b) by simulation?
