Summary on Grant Application Form |
A new method for the manufacture of three dimensional bends in ceramic tubes is proposed based on exploiting the difficulties found in straight tube manufacture. The proof of concept will be achieved through the design and construction of a moving die set. The degree of bend will be characterised and related to paste formulation through predictive models. New problems of shape retention after extrusion will be addressed.
