Summary on Grant Application Form |
At the European Study Group with Industry, about six industrial and commercial companies will present problems of current interest. These challenging problems might already have some mathematical formulation or could require substantial mathematical modelling. During the week of the Study Group, academics, postdoctoral researchers and graduate research students model, analyse and numerically solve the different problems. The practical need for the mathematical solution of the problems within a tight deadline is stressed to all the participants. The progress is summarised with written and verbal reports on the closing day of the Study Group. Printed final reports are subsequently circulated to all the participants.
