Summary on Grant Application Form |
The project will provide MES with a total system integration solution which will enable it to participate effectively as a full member of major systems engineering projects typified by the UK MODs SMART procurement initiative. These 4 solutions are:a. to model the business and systems engineering process for risk and uncertainty management suing Bayesian Belief Networks (BBNs) to support decision making about requirements/cost trade-offs;b. to integrate current approaches to requirements engineering, scenario analysis and solution within a novel computational modelling environment to predict system performance under different design-options;c. to develop research on scenario-based requirements analysis for obstacles in interactive systems, dependency analysis techniques in enterprise modelling and cognitive work analysis to diagnose and assess human-machine performance;d. to generate a necessary and sufficient set of scenarios as input to the first 3 solutions. The 4 solutions will be integrated with MES current IVM method to provide a total systems integration.EngProg\
