Summary on Grant Application Form |
As the functionality and complexity of Web applications grows, the performance characteristics of Web-based information technology environments are becoming increasingly complex. In such environments, future software systems will need to be able to adapt in real-time to the prevailing performance characteristics in order to optimise their use of available computational resources. We propose to conduct research into distributed, agent-based software systems which will test and monitor the environments in which will test and monitor the environments in which they exist and which will provide performance information services for system users or other agents.
