Summary on Grant Application Form |
The aim of this work is to develop an innovative method for the generation of all-hexahedral meshes for numerical simulation involving complex geometries. An advancing front method and a method based upon the agglomeration of tetrahedral elements will be investigated. The proposed methods will be coupled with a new optimisation smoothing technique, which can insure the optimal regularity of the generated elements. In addition, the new smoothing technique coupled with a mesh cosmetics routine will be used to construct a procedure for mesh adaption.
