Summary on Grant Application Form |
By constructing a facility to investigate the metal-semiconductor interface in single crystal CdZnTe radiation detectors, we aim to further develop the role of such sensors for room-temperature radiation spectroscopy. This will be achieved by: (1) raising the height of the Schottky barrier to allow lower noise spectroscopy, and (2) extending the depletion depth into the detector to provide greater absolute efficiency.
