Summary on Grant Application Form |
SERRS is being developed with ZENECA for ultra-trace quantitative analysis. Vibrational spectra can be obtained in a few seconds from molecules at well below monolayer coverage on the surface of a single silver of gold nanoparticle in water or other solvent but the methodology and the other molecular information to understand the surface chemistry of seminal reactions at the single nanoparticle level in ambient conditions and in situ. Industry would benefit in areas including nanotechnology, catalysis and corrosion protection
