Summary on Grant Application Form
With the convergence of the telecommunications and broadcast technology there will be a need for intelligent receivers architectures which have the capability for interoperability between standards. These intelligent receivers must also offer significant improvements over exsisting techniques. This project aims to deal with this issue by developing a methodology for the design of non-linear filters for the use in such systems. The work will develop suitable architectures., quantify its performance in realistic finite precision environments.
