Summary on Grant Application Form |
The grant is requested to keep the EPSRC National Mass Spectroscopy Service Centre running efficiently for a further period of 4 years to March 2002. A major part of this application is the replacement of a hard-working, but now obsolete, high resolution instrument. The Centre currently supports the research of 132 EPSRC approved research teams, involving no fewer than 847 research workers. During the past 2 years of the present grant the analyses provided by the Centre were cited in 765 publications in the chemical literature; clear evidence of the requirement which the UK chemical community has for the continuation of the Centre's activities. The grant is requested to keep the EPSRC National Mass Spectroscopy Service Centre running efficiently for a further period of 4 years to March 2002.
