Summary on Grant Application Form |
The overall aim of the proposed research is to improve the productivity, competitiveness and profitability of both the military and civil aerospace sector through enabling the timely adoption of lean practices. In this context, a two phase process is envisaged. And Enterprise model and performance measures to cater for the specific needs of the UK civil and military aerospace sector will act as a road map for current improvement techniques and tools and a focus for identifying opportunities for implementing lean practices, thus leading to immediate benefits to the aerospace sector. The research involves collaboration between a consortium of Universities and a large number of civil and military aerospace companies through SBAC.
