Summary on Grant Application Form |
We aim to develop new methods for manipulating film resolution image sequences using close photogrammetry on naturally textured parallax image multiples, to derive reasonably accurate depth distances in a scene. This will be based on further development of the stereo pair close photogrammetry techniques developed by our IRO, the Turning Institute as well as illumination deconstruction techniques being developed by our academic partner at Sussex. We will be using digitised film sequences for our data with a view to taking advantage of the same entities being present at film resolution in neighbouring images. The aim is to separate shape from illumination and develop the range of applications this makes possible.
