Summary on Grant Application Form |
The aim of the proposal is to investigate the influence of pre-adsorbed atoms on the dissociative adsorption of molecules on metallic surfaces. First principles simulation methods will be used to carry out a systematic study of a range of dissociative reactions to elucidate the key mechanisms underlying promotion and poisoning effects and to quantify their strength and range of interaction.
